President, Wallace Business Forum

Peter Wallace has been living in the Philippines for the past 40 years. He was sent to Manila in 1975 to build a factory manufacturing maintenance products. Three years later, he was appointed chairman of a conglomerate, the Columbian Philippines Inc, an enterprise that manufactures rope, processed abaca, represented airline, shipping and automotive companies, laundry operations, and food processing.
He then became the chief executive officer of Getz Corporation. And in 1982, he founded his own business – the Wallace Business Forum. A company that is in its 33rd year of success at helping CEO’s understand the business environment in the Philippines.
Wallace also currently serves as the director of the Australian-New Zealand Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines, Financial Executives Institute of the Philippines (FINEX), and Think Tank, Inc. He is a member of the Management Association of the Philippines, Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines.
Wallace also writes a weekly column for the Philippine Daily Inquirer (PDI). He is involved with several charitable endeavours and is a strong and active advocate for development of the mining sector.
