OVER 600 DELEGATES consisting of chamber members, diplomatic corps, senior government officials, business leaders, industry experts and media partners were in attendance at the Grand Ballroom of the Manila Marriott Hotel in Pasay City for the 5th Arangkada Philippines Forum with the theme A Bolder and More Inclusive Decade organized by the Joint Foreign Chambers (JFC) of the Philippines. Launched in 2010, Arangkada Philippines is the major advocacy of JFC to increase investment and employment in the Philippines. For 2016, the overall aim of the forum is to develop bold reforms that can produce sustained inclusive growth in the Philippines for the next decade, with chief justice Maria Lourdes Sereno as keynote speaker and ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales as guest speaker.Among the event’s highlights were the presentation of the Fifth Arangkada Anniversary Assessment which reviewed and rated the JFC’s 8 Recommendations to the President in 2015, the submission of the 2016 recommendations and the conferment of the Arangkada Lifetime Achievement Award to former Foreign Affairs secretary ambassadorRoberto Romulo.
