Creative Philippines: A Roundtable Discussion

RTD on creative industries. TAPP conducted a roundtable discussion on creative industries, attended by representatives of DTI, DOST, and CITEM and influential people from the fields of (1) advertising, digital marketing, and graphic design, (2) animation and film, (3) architectural and interior design, (4) fashion and lifestyle, (5) software and game development, and (6) visual and performing arts. The diverse group was presented with a comprehensive overview, challenges, and opportunities of the sector by Creative Economy Council of the Philippines President Paolo Mercado. The presentation was followed by an engaging brainstorming for solutions and recommendations, which was moderated by Arangkada creative industries experts Henry Schumacher and Cesar Tolentino. ‘Creative Philippines” was the battle cry used at a highly interactive roundtable organized by Arangkada Philippines last week to discuss “policy changes, initiatives and recommendations” to get “Creative Industries” into the position they deserve.
