Proposed amendments by the JFC on the Data Privacy Bill

The Data Privacy bill is one of the priority issues that needs to be addressed to enhance the competitiveness of the Philippines as a BPO destination. On July 15, 2011, the Joint Foreign Chambers of Commerce (JFC) submitted their proposed amendments for the Data Privacy bill in a letter to Hon. Edgardo J. Angara, Chairman of the Committee on Science and Technology in the Senate. The amendments are based specifically on House Bill 4115 that was already approved on Third Reading at the House of Representatives.
